2018 SANE-A Didactic Training
In this training the students will learn hands on approaches when working with a Sexual Assault Patient, as well as learn more of how the brain functions during a crisis through the educational means of the Neurobiology of Trauma approach. Not only that, but the students will also learn about Arkansas Law, History of Forensic Nursing, Forensics, Scope of Practice, Certification Process, Community Outreach through education, awareness and prevention, Victims with Disabilities, the Elderly, Human Trafficking, the Tanner Stages, Victimology, and so much more. This training will prepare the students to be thoroughly educated on the subject in all aspects. Courses will begin on March 2nd through March 30th. The training days required for completion are March 2nd, 8th, 16th, 22nd, and 30th. During these days we will go over the information needed and required to start the process of becoming a certified SANE-A (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner-Adolescent/Adult). The training will be from 8-5pm, and will also be using Telemedicine through the UAMS Telemedicine line. Register today, space is limited.
